Cleaning Awareness Campaign
Mata Chakeri Devi Foundation is committed to fostering cleanliness and sustainable sanitation practices as a core part of its mission. As part of our Cleaning Awareness Campaign, the Foundation has taken a significant step forward by distributing 22 hand-pulled garbage rickshaws to sanitation workers in Kalkaji Ward, New Delhi.
This initiative aims to strengthen the capacity of local sanitation efforts, providing support to those who work tirelessly to keep our communities clean. The rickshaws have not only made waste collection easier and more organized but have also uplifted the dignity of labor for sanitation workers who form the backbone of our urban hygiene system.
Held under the broader vision of “Swachh Bharat, Sashakt Samaaj”, this campaign is more than just a one-time distribution—it represents a movement toward collective responsibility. Through various activities like cleanliness drives, community sensitization programs, and partnerships with civic authorities, the Foundation continues to spread awareness about the importance of maintaining a clean environment.
The handover event in Kalkaji saw enthusiastic participation from local residents, sanitation workers, and volunteers. People came together to pledge for a cleaner neighborhood and to express gratitude to those who ensure cleanliness every day. The campaign also emphasized waste segregation at the source, responsible disposal practices, and the role of every individual in maintaining public hygiene.
At Mata Chakeri Devi Foundation, we believe that cleanliness is not just about sanitation, but also about dignity, health, and empowerment. Our goal is to create an environment where every citizen, especially youth and women, becomes an active contributor in making India cleaner and healthier.
We invite you to join us in our mission to raise awareness and inspire action. Together, let’s build a society where cleanliness is a shared commitment, and every effort counts.
