Mata ChakeriDevi Foundation organized a free health checkup camp: Breast cancer awareness campaign under the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiative of IDBI Bank Ltd. to educate women and society about the symptoms, prevention and importance of timely diagnosis of the disease. Breast cancer is becoming a serious health challenge for women across the world, and awareness and early diagnosis is the most effective solution.
This campaign aimed to empower women with knowledge and provide them access to essential healthcare services. This initiative was highly successful, more than 1000 people benefited from the program, in which the maximum number of women was more. Participants received crucial health screenings, expert medical guidance, and valuable knowledge on preventive healthcare.
By spreading awareness and offering free medical services, this campaign made a significant impact in promoting women’s health and early cancer detection. It reinforced the message that early detection saves lives and encouraged participants to take proactive steps toward their well-being. Additionally, we promoted this program through digital platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and the official website of our foundation. This helped in reaching a wider audience, spreading awareness effectively, and encouraging more people to participate in such initiatives in the future.
The following tests and medical services were provided free of cost in this health camp:
Breast cancer screening:
- Clinical examination of women was done by doctors.
- Necessary tests were done to identify breast cancer in the early stage.
- Information was given on methods of self-examination.
- Blood pressure and sugar levels of the people were measured.
- Patients were given suggestions for appropriate treatment and lifestyle changes according to their health condition.
- Women were given awareness regarding menstrual health, nutrition and pregnancy.
- Symptoms and prevention measures of breast cancer: Special emphasis was laid on ways to identify the early symptoms of cancer.
- Self-examination techniques: Women were told how they can do regular early detection of breast cancer at home.
- Lifestyle and nutrition: Tips were given to reduce the risk of breast cancer through proper diet and healthy lifestyle.
Food and other facilities
Proper food arrangements were made for all the participants who came to the program.
- Healthy snacks and food were arranged.
- Drinking water and proper seating arrangements were made so that the participants do not face any kind of inconvenience.
- Special support team was also present for senior citizens and women, who were ready to give them proper directions and help them.
Conclusion
The Free Health Check-up Camp & Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign proved to be a great success, benefiting a large number of women and other participants. Through this initiative, individuals not only received free medical check-ups but also gained valuable health insights and expert consultations.

1st Workshop on “Awareness Drive on Breast Cancer” & Free Health Checkup Camp
Mata Chakeri Devi Foundation successfully organized a Workshop on Free Health Check-up Camp and Breast Cancer Awareness on March 30, 2025, as part of a broader awareness campaign under the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiative of IDBI Bank Limited. The workshop aims to educate women and the general public about the symptoms, prevention, and importance of early detection of breast cancer—one of the most common and growing health concerns among women globally.
This was the first in a series of four planned offline interactive workshops to be conducted across urban and rural areas of Delhi. More than 300 people took part in the workshop and most of them were women.
