Introduction
In a commendable step towards sustainable urban development, Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL) has sponsored the installation of 150 solar street lights in Kalkaji, Delhi, under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. This impactful project aims to promote clean energy usage, enhance public safety, and contribute to an eco-friendly environment for the residents of the region. The initiative was inaugurated on 07 July 2025 by Shri Kapil Mishra, Hon’ble Minister for Art, Culture, and Language, Delhi, and Shri Ramvir Singh Bidhuri, Hon’ble Member of Parliament, in the gracious presence of Smt. Yogita Singh, President of Mata Chakeri Devi Foundation, Chairman of Central Zone, MCD, and Municipal Councillor of Ward No-175, Kalkaji.
The implementation of this project has been carried out by Mata Chakeri Devi Foundation, which remains committed to driving impactful initiatives in the field of social development, environmental protection, and citizen welfare.
This solar lighting project is a step towards:
